Learn Some Irrelevant, Possibly Incorrect Krejci Things

Don't you ever desperately want to pass the time until the next series, but it's only Monday night, into Tuesday morning, and the series doesn't start until Saturday? And suddenly you're in a black hole of YouTube videos that have nothing to do with the Bruins, and you really miss Blake Wheeler? I looped back around to David Krejci thankfully...and stumbled upon some semi-recent interviews from the lockout when he was over in the Czech Republic.

Here is the video, which, can you believe?! is in Czech! Why would they be speaking Czech in the Czech Republic? I watched a few minutes of this despite knowing it was entirely in a language I cannot comprehend because I'm really bored, I like watching Krejci speak Czech, the set is cool, and it felt like "Inside the Actors Studio" a little bit.

When spontaneous English did not happen, I deferred to twitter to help me find someone to translate the video. And since twitter is awesome and full of great people, this wonderful woman came to the rescue! This interview isn't actually interesting, and doesn't have any worthwhile insight, which makes it even more wonderful that she took the time to translate it for me. Seriously, thank you!

Below is the video and the tidbits that were worth sharing because I'm starved for entertainment.

LOTS of Bruins 11-12 Highlights

As the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals loom just 2 days away, us Bruins fans are struggling to cope with the reality that the Bruins are not part of it this year. Every aspect of the playoffs taking place leading up to the beginning of the Devils/Kings finals series on Wednesday reminds me that the Bruins were there last year, and it makes me so sad (sadder than I already am) that they aren't there anymore - and even more so, that what seems like yesterday when they were there, was actually a year ago. To try to cope with this sadness, I will post some of my favorite videos from the 2011-2012 Bruins regular season, which offered some amazing moments in and of itself.

These are in no particular order, and are only a dozen of the endless amount of videos I wanted to post, and perhaps plan on posting this summer.

I have to admit, looking through these season's highlights, I realized how unbelievably fortunate I was as a Bruins fan this year to experience a dozen home games that were all (except for 1 or 2) absolutely fantastic! I have so many wonderful Bruins memories over the years, starting with my first game in 1997. I miss them so much, and look forward to the wonderful memories they are going to give me the opportunity to be apart of in the years to come.

Talented Hair, Lies about Clinching, RIP Rolston's Scoring Streak

Congrats to Horton & family on their new baby boy.
Earlier tonight, Emma inquired about the Bruins record in the games immediately after Cuts for a Cause. Since I like to pretend I'm useful, I looked it up. Aaron Ward administered the first Cuts for a Cause in 2008 and did so again in 2009, but since he was traded, Shawn Thornton took over and has run the event each of the past 3 years. The Bruins record in the next game after the event takes place each year? 2-1-2.
  • 2008: 3-2 Overtime loss to New Jersey (this is the only game listed here that was away, not home)
  • 2009: 2-1 Win over Ottawa
  • 2010: 1-0 Loss to Florida
  • 2011: 3-1 Win over Ottawa
  • 2012: 3-2 Shootout loss to Washington

3/1/12: Bruins 4, Devils 3 (OT)!!

My pic (from warmups).
What a game!! Krejci hat trick to win it in overtime in perfect view...absolutely made up for the atrocity of the Rangers shutout...this is why it is always worth it to spend all the money you have in the world on tickets. This is the type of game I will always remember as one of my favorites, although several this year and last year have been so great. I decided to wear my Savvy jersey instead of my Peverley jersey cause I felt that the Savvy jersey had some luck drawing me to wear it, as it has been quite lucky in the past.

The Elbow Heard Around the World

In a press conference today, Sidney Crosby announced he'd be taking more time off than the original 2 games. The new "indefinite" time frame for return is devastating and frustrating, of course, but one comment specifically seemed to be a little over exaggerated. He pinpoints the main cause for his return of post-concussion syndrome symptoms as the hit in the video above. He implied that the elbow from Krejci was intentional and the point in which he experienced enough head trauma to warrant sitting and waiting it out all over again. There is no question that Crosby's head and Krejci's elbow make enough contact to cause damage, but to say that it was anything other than an unfortunate incident seems to be placing the blame in the wrong place. Perhaps Crosby just wanted to place the blame somewhere because he is understandably frustrated, but the ensuing chirping with Krejci afterwards and then from the bench are lost on Krejci. Examining the video above, I considered the following:
